“Digging In for Diagnostics”: Community Rings In the New Year with Purpose

The December 31, 2025, “Digging in for Diagnostics” fundraiser drew strong support from residents and neighbouring communities, helping advance efforts to upgrade essential diagnostic equipment in 2026. The masquerade-themed event featured Sirens Dueling Pianos, a live auction, penny parade, and a silent dessert and snack auction. Many individuals and area communities contributed, particularly in response to the mail‑out flyer promoting the campaign.
Why "Digging in for Dianogstics"? The hospital’s X‑ray machine will soon become obsolete, and the department is also in need of an updated ECG machine. New diagnostic equipment will provide higher‑quality images and improved accuracy, supporting better patient care. In the past year alone, the diagnostic team completed 3,000 X‑ray exams involving 5,700 individual exposures.
The estimated cost of replacing the X-ray unit and completing the required room renovations is over $300,000.
To date, the unofficial amount raised is close to $123,000, marking significant progress toward the overall goal.
